The result for the BITSAT 2026 Round-1 iteration was announced on June 20, 2026 marking a crucial stage in the admission process for engineering and science programmes at the BITS Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses. What is BITSAT Iteration Result?

BITSAT Tertiary Result is the seat allotment result which is announced during the counseling process. This result shows that:

  • Which campus has been allotted to you (Pilani, Goa or Hyderabad)?
  • Which programme has been allotted to you (BE Computer Science, Mechanical, Chemical, B.Pharm, M.Sc., etc.)?
  • What is your admission status (allotted or waitlisted)?

BITS Pilani does not participate in JoSAA counselling and follows its own distinct iteration system. A total of six iterations are conducted (with a seventh if seats remain) and in each iteration, vacant seats are allotted based on merit and preferences.

How to Check BITSAT Iteration Result 2026

If you are among the candidates awaiting results follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official BITS admission portal: admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in 
  2. Click on the Iteration Result link
  3. Enter your application number and password
  4. Click on Submit
  5. Your seat allotment status will be displayed on the screen
  6. Download and save the result for future reference

New Feature (2026): A new login portal has been introduced for Tier 1 which is different from the previous one.

Note: Computer Science and Mathematics & Computing are highly competitive branches and they see only a minimal drop (0-5 marks) in their cut-offs.

What Happens After Iteration 1 Result?

If a seat has been allotted:

  1. Complete the payment by June 26, 2026.
  2. Log in to the portal and select the Freeze, Float or Slide option:
    • Freeze: Accepted the allotted seat – no upgradation.
    • Float: Upgradation possible to a different branch within the same campus.
    • Slide: Upgradation to a lower-priority branch within the same campus.
  3. Confirm your participation in future rounds by paying the admission fee.
  4. Remain eligible for upgradation in case a higher-preference programme becomes vacant.

If a seat is not allotted (waitlist status):

  • The candidate is placed on the waiting list.
  • Automatic consideration continues in future iterations.
  • An allotment may be received in later rounds if seats become vacant.
  • Admission from the waitlist is possible even in Iteration V or VI.
